Golf del Sur
Golf del Sur in Tenerife is a striking 18-hole championship golf course that is known for its challenging holes as well as its world-class views. Its wide fairways and perfect greens have challenging bunkers and waters hazards surrounding them.
The course has hosted a variety of professional tournaments, including the Tenerife Open, which was won by former Ryder Cup captain José Maria Olazábal.
As well as being a world-class golf course, other facilities include a driving range, tennis courts, minigolf, a bar and restaurant, a buggy bar, putting and chipping greens, a pro-shop and changing rooms.
Golf Costa Adeje

Golf Costa Adeje is famed for being one of the most picturesque golf courses in Tenerife. Set in a natural canyon, golfers can enjoy incredible views across the Atlantic to the island of La Gomera as they work around the 18-hole championship golf course.
The course offers a mixture of challenges to players with ravines, valleys, doglegs, and water hazards, providing a challenging yet enjoyable experience.

Abama Golf

Designed by the world-famous golf course designer Dave Thomas, Abama Golf is located in Playa San Juan in southwest Tenerife.
The immaculately maintained 18-hole championship course rises up the west face of the Teide Volcano, and it is famed for being home to over 300 species of subtropical plant life, including over 20,000 palm trees.
Golfers can enjoy spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the island of La Gomera, and there are more than 20 lakes, waterfalls and a variety of bunkers spread throughout the course’s ever-changing terrain.
This course will test even the most experienced golfers, but it is known for being a fun course to play on, making it a popular course.
Golf Las Américas
Located in the popular town of Playa de las Américas, the Golf Las Américas course is known for its natural beauty and among its attractions are ravines and lakes.
The course has two par threes, two par fives and five par fours on each nine, and whilst still challenging, the course is perfect for golfers of all experiences. The course has hosted many professional tournaments in the past, including the Spanish Ladies Open.

Real Club de Golf de Tenerife

Unlike the other courses on this list, the Real Club de Golf de Tenerife is located in the North of Tenerife. Founded in 1932, Spain’s second oldest club is steeped in history.
You can enjoy views of Mount Teide and the surrounding countryside, and its narrow fairways and elevation changes mean that precision play is all-important on many of the holes, with out of bounds on both sides of some holes on the course.
With many trees, dry stream beds and bunkers, it is a testing course, but it can be played by golfers of all levels.
Buenavista Golf

Another course designed by the legendary Seve Ballesteros is the Buenavista Golf course. This challenging course is set amongst beautiful surroundings, alongside the sea and impressive mountains.
The 18-hole course has a par of 72, and some of its holes are set so close to the coast that you’d be forgiven if you thought you could quite easily hit your ball into the sea.
The area where the golf course is set is within a protected natural park, and it is the beauty of the course as well as its year-round mild climate that attracts golfers to it.
