Aqualand Torremolinos is the largest and most popular water park in the region, and it boasts a whole host of incredible water slides and attractions such as the Tukakame, Tsunami and Boomerang slides.

There are many more attractions than just the waterslides, as there is a wave pool, a lazy river, an 18-hole mini golf course, and several food outlets where you can take a break.

Cristina, the blogger behind My Little World of Travelling, highly recommends a visit to Aqualand and she says the number of attractions is what she loved during her visit: “Whether you want to be brave and go down a 22-metre slide (the highest in Europe) or relax in the jacuzzi, you can do it here.

“My favourite attraction is the crazy rivers! You can go on a single or double float while making your way down through small waterfalls. It’s a lot of fun.”

The waterpark is centrally located in Torremolinos, approximately 15 minutes from the centre, and it is within easy travelling distance to our Costa del Sol hotels, making it a great option if you are looking for a fun-filled day.

Aquavelis Water Park

The Aquavelis Water Park is in Vélez-Málaga, on the eastern side of the Costa del Sol, and it is a hugely popular attraction to visit in the region.

With over 20 attractions, including slides, a wave pool, and a lagoon, it is a great place for families and couples. The Kamikaze slide is one of the park’s main attractions, and the 80-metre-steep slide is a big draw for thrill-seekers. The park is home to a virtual reality arcade, and it offers a unique gaming experience as it transports you inside the game, where your body is the controller and your mind believes it’s real.

Cristina was impressed with the number of food options available at the waterpark: “AquaMijas has a self-service restaurant serving anything from salads to pizza and fish and chips. However, if you’re a vegetarian or have an intolerance, they have a few alternatives. Also, you can find kiosks selling juices, ice cream and waffles.”

Being located near Fuengirola means AquaMijas is within easy driving distance of our resorts.

Fun Beach Park

One of the best floating waterparks on the Costa del Sol, this unique experience is a popular choice for many.

Fun Beach Park has floating inflatable obstacle courses in the sea off one of the golden sand beaches of Torre del Mar and La Rada (Estepona). The park is perfect for adults and kids, and there are lifeguards on duty and life jackets provided for anyone using the floating waterpark.

Costa Water Park has several floating water parks in multiple locations, including Marbella, Puerto Banús, and Fuengirola.

All of their waterparks have a variety of water slides, trampolines, and climbing apparatus, all set in the sea. All of the Costa Water Parks have lifeguards on patrol. The waterparks are open from 11 am-8 pm mid-June until mid-September.
