A breezy coastal escape
Escape from everyday life, reconnect with nature and indulge. Set on a hillside overlooking St Austell Bay on Cornwall’s southern coast, Wyndham Trenython Manor is a peaceful retreat. Somewhere to relax, breathe in the sea air and explore with friends and family. All wrapped up in a warm Cornish welcome.
Built in 1872, the manor house is set within the grounds of a private 24-acre estate with uninterrupted views of the bay. With cottages, lodges and luxury hotel rooms, this Cornwall hotel is a great choice for families, couples and dog owners.
Not only are we so close to the sea that you can watch it from your window, we’re also just 10 minutes’ drive from Cornwall’s top attraction, the Eden Project, and a stone’s throw from pretty port town Fowey. Venture further afield or stay around, there’s always something to do. The Hotel’s grounds were made for exploring and relaxing in nature – follow woodland trails or enjoy garden games.

You could check-in to one of the light and elegant rooms within the Victorian manor house and enjoy all the comforts of country house hotel. Wake to sea views and amble downstairs for an early morning swim or steam before tucking into a full English breakfast.
Or wander into the pretty grounds to enjoy your very own Cornish retreat in one of our family-sized (including some dog-friendly) cottages and lodges. Designed for enjoying the landscape, you can relax with a morning cuppa or afternoon G’n’T on your terrace as you gaze across at the sea or countryside.
Dining
On sun-drenched afternoons find a spot on the bar’s terrace to while away a few hours or seek out a cosy nook in our fire-lit lounge on inclement days. There’s no better place to be when there’s a nip in the air – especially when you order our indulgent afternoon tea. Glass of bubbly highly recommended. OUT AND ABOUT
We are close to craggy coves and glorious sandy beaches, including our nearest, the sand-dune backed Par Sands – less than 10 minutes down the road. We offer easy access to a network of cycling paths and walking trails into the hills, moors or along the coast – including the ancient trail of Saint’s Way and the South West Coast Path, a national trail that hugs England’s southwestern coastline.
PLACES TO GO
We are also a 10-minute drive from Cornwall’s best-known attraction, the Eden Project, and the charming harbour town Fowey, which is full of fantastic places to eat and shop. You can also catch the much-loved Fowey Ferry across the estuary. Inland, the ancient town of Lostwithiel (and former capital of Cornwall) is a pretty place for an outing.
