cooking with a cornish twist

Super-fresh seafood, farmhouse cheeses and seasonal fruit and vegetables: Cornwall’s bountiful produce is the star of the show at Wyndham Trenython Manor’s restaurants. From our relaxed bar and lounge, which serves food all day until 9pm, to our signature Da Kona Restaurant, our cooking always comes with a Cornish twist.

Guests in our lodges can stick to self-catering or opt for B&B or Half Board basis. Go for the latter and breakfast like a Cornish king followed by dinner in either of the manor house restaurants. Or simply decide from day-to-day: breakfast on your terrace, picnic on the sands and step out for a special meal at our wood-panelled restaurant, after an aperitif in the bar. Some days you might want to curl up in your lounge and order takeaway from our restaurants instead.

Da Kona Restaurant

Up the ante with a fine-dining experience in our characterful restaurant, with carved oak walls that were added to the manor in 1891 (some are 16th-century panels originating in the York Minster and Worcester Cathedral). Dinner is available Wednesday to Saturday from 6pm. The menu showcases ingredients like locally caught crab and seabass and Cornish bred meat sourced by Tywardreath butchers less than half a mile from our front door. In the evening’s join us for our entertainment nights. Jazz from our resident duo Jumping Out, quiz nights and fun family events. Don’t miss out on our popular Sunday lunch, prime meats served with plenty of vegetables, crispy roast potatoes and lashings of gravy.

The Du Maurier Room

For those who like a more relaxed approach to dining the Du Maurier Room is the place to be. Our casual dining restaurant is open daily from 12pm to 8.30pm and has a menu that changes with the seasons. When the weather is pleasant, sit outside on the terrace and soak up the incredible, ever-changing views over St Austell Bay.

TM's Bar

Our drinks only bar is open from 11am to 11pm and offers a wide range of beverages to tickle your fancy including cocktails, speciality local gin and hot drinks. For sports enthusiasts live sport events are shown.

Afternoon Tea

If we had to pick one must-do at Wyndham Trenython Manor, it’d be our afternoon tea – dainty sandwiches, handmade cakes and scones with lashings of jam and clotted cream. That is what Cornish holidays are all about.
